Muscular Dystrophy Queensland is proud to have the support of the following businesses and organisations who partner with us, in our mission to understand and address the needs of Queenslanders living with muscular dystrophy.
For nearly 25 years, the All Hallows’ School Year 11 students have flooded Brisbane city streets on the morning of Red Bow Day, selling bows and other merchandise and taking donations for Muscular Dystrophy Queensland. Each year, in a little over an hour, the girls raise close to $15,000 for Muscular Dystrophy Queensland.
Muscular Dystrophy Queensland was the fortunate recipient of a bursary from McCullough Robertson and as a result our charity has received generous support and legal advice from one of Australia’s leading law firms.
Ray White Surfers Paradise
Andrew and Greg Bell who head the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, have hosted the Ray White Surfers Paradise Muscular Dystrophy Charity Ball since 1993. Raising over $3 million dollars throughout the event’s history, these funds provide help for today and hope for tomorrow, being used in part to fund Muscular Dystrophy Queensland’s client services and to support research.
Newman’s Own Foundation
Muscular Dystrophy Queensland has received a generous grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman. This grant is being used to supply hi-lo adjustable beds to people living with muscular dystrophy to assist with mobility and independence.

We offer a full-service accounting solution with experienced directors and an enthusiastic team. Our CEO, Ken Robertson, is treasurer at Muscular Dystrophy Queensland and encourages fundraising events and bringing awareness of this condition in our offices and our community.

The oldest motorcycle dealership in Australia has a proud partnership with Muscular Dystrophy Queensland generously extending their support outside the HOG Charity Ride to support Muscular Dystrophy Queensland’s fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Brisbane Harley Owners Group
Every year since 1995, the Brisbane Chapter of the Harley Owners Group have supported Muscular Dystrophy Queensland through the HOG MD Charity Ride. More than 100 members generously volunteer their time, as well as their precious Harley Davidsons, to take paying pillion riders on a day-long ride – ‘the ride of their lives’. This fantastic group have raised over $220,000 in support of Queenslanders living with muscular dystrophy.
Black and White Cabs
Transport is often a challenge for families living with muscular dystrophy. We’re grateful to work alongside Black and White Cabs with a focus on providing practical and affordable transport solutions for the community.
JJ Richards and Sons
J.J. Richards & Sons Pty Ltd was established in 1932 and is owned and managed by the family of the founder, Joseph (Joe) John Richards. Joe intuitively knew that good business simply meant doing the right thing. Today, this approach is passionately preserved. J.J. Richards & Sons have been proudly supporting Muscular Dystrophy Queensland for over fifteen years.
Mt Isa Mines
Mt Isa Mines have supported Muscular Dystrophy Queensland since 2004 and more recently have supported the Regional Outreach Program to allow Muscular Dystrophy Queensland to travel to Mt Isa and surrounds to provide support and services to families in the local area.

The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust has a long history of providing generous support to Brisbane based clients of Muscular Dystrophy Queensland. For many years we have received financial support to host an annual Christmas Party for our clients.
