Study looks at unmet needs of carers
MD Qld support University of Canberra Master of Clinical Psychology student, Sharon Dawson, who is undertaking a study into the unmet needs experienced by carers of children with neuromuscular conditions at various stages of their child’s development.
The results of this ground breaking study will form the basis of Sharon Dawson’s Masters’ thesis. Once compiled, generic results will also be provided to Muscular Dystrophy Queensland giving us greater insight into the current unmet needs our families face.
We hope to link approximately 50 people with the survey and encourage each carer in their household to consider completing the survey, which is available online and can also be provided in paper format for those without internet access.
If you are a carer of a person with a neuromuscular condition, find out more about the survey by reading the Questionnaire Information Sheet or start completing the survey online. If you require the survey in paper format please contact us.
