Steph is forever grateful for the wonderful donors who assisted her family at a time that was needed most. With the right support, Jesse can overcome his declining mobility and keep his independence. He needs mobility aids and equipment, allied health therapies, and assistance to access the community so that he can maintain friendships and to pursue his goals.

“I have become his full-time carer since he finished school in 2022 and he is spending so much time in the house. I work full-time. His needs keep increasing and he’s alone most of the day. It’s heartbreaking.” Said Steph. “The little things just take the stress off everyone. I’m so exhausted after work. I’m all Jesse has. I have to cook, clean, and care for Jesse. I am only showering him every second day now because he finds the process too exhausting. He doesn’t want to put people out and there’s no one other than me to do it really. It’s hard for both of us.”
