Community Liaison Group

The purposes of Muscular Dystrophy Queensland’s Community Liaison Group (CLG) is to be the voice of the Queensland neuromuscular community and to provide, strategic and high-level operational advice to the CEO and board on matters relating to our neuromuscular community.

The Community Liaison Group (CLG), will ultimately comprise of 10-12 individuals who together, will aim to provide, strategic and high-level operational advice to the CEO and board on matters relating to Muscular Dystrophy Queensland’s neuromuscular community.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) Now Open

Muscular Dystrophy Queensland is seeking enthusiastic community members who are keen to collaborate as a group, and represent the voice and diversity of the Queensland neuromuscular community.

Specifically, we are seeking individuals who are willing to reflect upon and share their personal lived experiences and knowledge, for discussion and consideration within the group, as well as listen to and consider the experiences and voices of others.

 

Community Liaison Group Terms of Reference

This is a formal document that sets out the role of the Community Liaison Group and the expectations of its members.  Essentially it exists to ensure all community members have an equal opportunity to share their experiences, be heard and influence the future direction of Muscular Dystrophy Queensland.

We ask people considering expressing their interest in becoming a member of the CLG to please read the Community Liaison Group Terms of Reference to understand more about the purpose of the group and the expectations of committee members.

2023's Ride Walk Roll launch event was proudly hosted by the community liaison group - just one of the many fun social programs and events hosted by the CLG in response to feedback from Muscular Dystrophy Queensland's community members who wanted more opportunities to meet one another.
