Neurological Alliance Australia Federal Election Ask

The Neurological Alliance (NAA) seeks commitments from parties and candidates for the upcoming Federal Election to address the urgent unmet needs of adults and children living with progressive neurological or neuromuscular diseases in Australia.

The NAA has developed a 2022 Election Commitments document that sets out the four key election issues for the nearly 1.6 million Australians who live with a progressive neurological or neuromuscular disease represented by the 13 members of the Alliance.

These are:

  1. Invest in funding for medical research
  2. End age discrimination for NDIS eligibility
  3. Strengthen the NDIS
  4. Ensure equal access to assistive technology
